DENVER, COLORADO
- Richard P. Arber Associates has added Travis E. Meyer, P.E., to
its Water and Wastewater Consulting Engineering Firm. Mr. Meyer
has over six years of experience as a civil and environmental engineer.
He received both his B.S. in Civil Engineering and M.S. in Environmental
Engineering from the University of Colorado.
Mr.
Meyer’s primary focus is engineering process design and construction
services for water and wastewater systems. His project experience
includes design, construction, and operation of pilot-scale water
treatment plants, design of solids handling, wastewater collection,
and water distribution systems. At Richard P. Arber Associates he
is currently working on projects in Southern California and for
the City of Black Hawk. The California project includes using a
multi-process water treatment system to clean contaminated groundwater
at a Superfund site to drinking water quality standards. He participated
in design, construction, and operation of a 350 gpm pilot plant
to demonstrate the process to the California Department of Health
Services.
For Black Hawk, Mr. Meyer evaluated possible causes and developed
alternative solutions for water hammer problems experienced in the
City’s water distribution system. He used computer modeling
software to identify the problem and recommended installation of
pressure relief valves and piping modifications to prevent or reduce
the severity of future water hammer events.
